Normandy Babymoon

During the last weekend in January Kevin and I went to Normandy, France for a joint Babymoon with our Trini/London friends Stephen & Christina (she is due about 2 weeks after me).  We had a blast and laughed pretty much the whole time (minus the bit at the end where we all got a nasty stomach virus -- not pretty).  My favorite part of the vacation was Stephen's French accent.  Whenever he spoke to a local he would put on this hilarious (some might say offensive) exaggerated French accent, the funniest part being he didn't realize he was doing it.

Honfleur
We stayed in Honfleur (an old port town) and used it as a base to drive to Etretat & Omaha Beach.

Etretat
We drove to Etretat to check out the stunning cliffs.

Omaha Beach
Visiting the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial at Omaha Beach was a very powerful experience.  It was hard not to cry while walking through the museum.  I highly recommend going.

While we didn't have the typical Babymoon (you know relaxing on a sunny beach, getting massages, sipping on fun mocktails, etc.) the company couldn't be beat.  Can't wait for the next vacay with these two (with the addition of our little ones)!
